If you have a criminal history, TREC recommends requesting a Fitness Determination before enrolling in any courses.

A Fitness Determination lets TREC review your background before you invest time and money in your coursework. No. You can complete all six pre-licensing courses and pass the state exam before selecting a broker. You will only need a sponsoring broker to activate your license and begin practicing. Many of our students use the time during and after courses to interview brokerages in the El Paso area.

Yes. Lone Star Real Estate School is a TREC-approved education provider (Provider #701095). All six of our pre-licensing courses satisfy the Texas Real Estate Commission's education requirements for an initial Salesperson license application.
