Enrollment Process

To initiate your enrollment, please contact us directly for details about the courses and their start dates. You will be required to sign a student school agreement and submit payment before commencing the course. We are here to support you on your educational journey!

Course Completion

Upon completing the course in the classroom, students will take a final exam. Successfully passing this exam will earn them a school certificate, which is necessary for applying for state licensure. Please note that the final exam is closed book, and no notes are permitted during the assessment.

Applying for License

The next step after completing all required courses for licensure is to submit your application to the Texas Real Estate Commission. Once your application is approved, you will be eligible to take the state exam. For further details, please click on this link for more information.

Concerns about Criminal History?

If you have a past history you feel may affect your application for licensing, please visit the TREC website directly for information. Evaluations are typically done on a case-by-case basis. Please note that Lone Star Real Estate School cannot evaluate your history or make any guarantees or promises of passing the TREC background check.

The Texas Real Estate Commission will further evaluate students who apply for licensure to determine whether their fitness of character meets the state qualifications for honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity. If you have any criminal offenses, unpaid judgments, disciplinary actions taken against a professional of occupational license or have performed any unlicensed activity, you should consider requesting a Fitness Determination (FD) form. This form can be found utilizing the following link: https://www.trec.texas.gov/forms/fitness-determination
